Women’s Basic Firearm Training- $40.00
Women’s Basic Firearm training is held at the Marksman Armory and Archery, 3017 Barber Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. The foundation of the Women’s Basic Firearm training program is the NRA First Steps Pistol Orientation course.
The Women’s Basic Firearm Training is a stress free ladies-only training program that provides ladies ages 18 and older with an introduction to the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to own and use a pistol safely. Class is a three (3) hours course; two (2) hours of classroom instruction and
one (1) hour of range shooting. Course details: revolver and semi-automatic pistol knowledge; safe handgun handling; handgun ammunition knowledge; fundamentals of handgun shooting; maintaining the handgun; hands-on practical exercises; and live fire handgun shooting.
Ladies receive: the NRA First Steps Pistol Participant Packet. Packet includes: 1 x NRA Guide to the
Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook; 1 x NRA Gun Safety Rules Brochure; 1 x Basic Practical Rocker and Flyer; 1 x Basic Firearm Training Program Brochure; 1 x Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program Booklet; 1 x Pistol First Steps Course Certificate.
Course requirements are a functioning Handgun, Handgun Owners Manual, 50 rounds of
non-reloaded center fire ammunition, eye protection, ear protection, pencil, high lighter and note taking material. Ladies may rent a handgun ($10.00 each), eye protection ($1.00 each), ear protection ($1.00 each) and purchase your ammunition ($9.95-$14.95) at the Range if need be. NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!
I have limited this class to 12 seats to better serve the needs of my students. Please let me know you are interested in attending this class by a prompt class fee deposit.

2:30-3:15 PM- Lesson I: Introduction to Pistol Safety, Parts, and Operations (45 minutes)
3:25-4:10 PM- Lesson II: Introduction to Ammunition and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
(45 minutes)
4:20-4:50 PM- Lesson III: Introduction to Pistol Cleaning, Storage, and Training Opportunities
(30 minutes)
5:00-6:00 PM- Lesson IV: Introduction to Pistol Shooting from the Benchrest Position
(60 minutes)
