Ohio Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) class is held at the Marksman Armory and Archery, 3017 Barber Road, Norton, Ohio 44203. Course certification is valid in 38 states.
Students receive: 1 x NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, 1 x Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program handbook, 1 x NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, 1 x NRA Basic Firearm Training program brochure, 1 x Ohio’s Concealed Carry Law handbook, 1 x NRA Basic Pistol Diploma, 1 x NRA Course Completion Certificate, 1 x Concealed Carry Sherriff’s Office Contact Roster, and 1 x State of Ohio License to Carry a Concealed Handgun Application.
Concealed Carry Law instruction meets or exceeds training requirements for Ohio CCW license. Class is a 12 hour course; ten (10) hours of classroom instruction and two (2) hours of range shooting as required by Ohio Law. Course details: revolver and semi-automatic pistol knowledge; safe handgun handling; handgun ammunition knowledge; fundamentals of handgun shooting; selecting and purchasing a handgun; maintaining the handgun; hands-on practical exercises; a written examination; and live fire handgun shooting.
Course requirements are a functioning Handgun, Handgun Owners Manual, 50 rounds of non-reloaded center fire ammunition, eye protection, ear protection, pencil, high lighter and note taking material. You may rent a handgun ($10.00 each), eye protection ($1.00 each), ear protection ($1.00 each) and purchase your ammunition ($14.99-$19.99) at the Range if need be. NO LIVE AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM!
I limit this class to eight (8) seats to better serve the needs of my students.
